How to Sell Value Instead of Price

Speaker:
Shon Bjornberg
President - Pinnacle Sales Solutions

Potential clients buy for their reasons... not necessarily the seller's reasons. In this seminar you will be re-acquainted with this "Golden Rule" of sales, and come away with simple (though not always obvious) practical skills on how to determine not only what aspects of your product or service clients are interested in, but why they are interested. What are their motives for wanting, needing, or desiring the product or service? When you understand all of this you will no longer sell on price but value.

By Attending You Will learn:

- How to sell "Value", not just price
- The "Golden Rule" of sales
- How to differentiate between "Wants", "Needs" and "Desires"
- How-to make your products/services stand out from the competition and more...

Make Yourself Famous on Discussion Groups
by Kevin Nunley
www.drnunley.com (888) 429-6203

Nothing gets sales like being an expert.  When people know you can help their situation with experience and knowledge, they don't mind paying for whatever you suggest.

One of the Net's best tools to turn yourself into a recognized expert in your field are discussion groups. These can be UseNet newsgroups (go to Google and click "groups" to find them) or they can be discussion groups on web sites. There are also email discussion groups, sometimes called listservs or majordomos.

Pick no more than two or three groups to participate in. Join, then hide and watch for a while.  Get to know what kinds of topics are discussed and who the main characters are. Many groups have at least one "troll under the bridge" who seems to thrive on running down anyone who takes a different view point.

When someone asks a question, be the one to give them a good, solid answer. Make it a goal to answer a question once or twice each week. Keep your answer strictly non-commercial but DO include your commercial signature file at the end sending people to your site and email.

Several top successful business folks have told me their only method of advertising was participation in discussion groups. It generated many a customers over a period of months.

When you've just become grandmother, signed a contract with a major label or found an ancient engraving trying to plant a tree, don't you want to tell as many people as possible?

Getting the message out, that's what mailing list are for. In Outlook, such lists are (quite appropriately) called "distribution list". Using such a distribution list, you can then send an email to a group of people easily. But first, let's find out how to set up a mailing list in Outlook -- easily (that goes without saying).

To set up a mailing list in Outlook:

  • Select File | New | Distribution List from the menu.
    • Alternatively, hit Ctrl-Shift-L (think list).
  • Type the desired name under Name:.
    • The list name is what you will use to address messages to the list.
  • Now, you can add new members immediately using the Add New... and Select Members... buttons.
  • Click Save and Close.

Mail Your List from Outlook

With your distribution list in place and ready, you can start sending messages to its members.
