Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau announced the appointment of Alison Best as Director of Sales according to Santa Monica CVB President/CEO Misti Kerns, CMP.
Best is responsible for development and maintenance of Bureau sales and client services including establishing and implementing sales programs designed to generate sales leads and group bookings from Santa Monicas top feeder markets as well as organizing tradeshow attendance and overseeing the development of a convention services program. "This is a great opportunity and I look forward to selling this unique and beautiful city;, said Best of her new position. "I was drawn to this destination because it is known worldwide for its friendly people and forward thinking. I am so excited about being a part of the Santa Monica team".
Prior to coming to Santa Monica, Best has provided over 14 years of hospitality/tourism work experience. Most recently, Alison was Senior Sales Manager of Conventions & Group Sales at Tourism Whistler. We are very confident that Alison's expertise, sales knowledge and enthusiasm will add tremendously to our teams efforts, said Kerns.
Best is a native Canadian and currently resides in Marina Del Rey, California. She attended the Canadian Tourism College in Vancouver, BC with a diploma in Tourism and Host Training and received her Sociology degree from the University of Victoria.
